So this morning I'm watching Buffy on TNT and I see a Progressive commercial...guy at his laptop with a dog and some kids running by. The screenshot of progressive.com is the Safari browser, for sure. But the hardware is decidedly NOT an Apple product. I realize that the screenshots are fake and not actually footage of an actual screen. I just wonder why they go to the trouble. I guess maybe the advertising company uses Macs so they just go with Safari. It just strikes me as odd, though.

Safari is pretty, and less obtrusive.

Safari is definitely more attractive than that fugly Windoze IE.
What boggles my mind is the use of the Mac IE browser interface. It's almost as disgusting as the Windows version, yet I have seen it used in several commercials. WTF?!

The ad company should know that a lot of people will see this and be bothered that it is not a MAC. I'll never buy Progressive until they put MAC's on their TV spots.

Yeah, me too, really. I was just having fun with "MAC" instead of Mac, and baiting the grammar police.

Score!
