the best way to cheat in halo that i found is to use "the cheat", it works for ammo on all human weapons. i cant get it to work on shields, health, or grenades. luckily it doesn't work in multiplayer.

its a program that lets you cheat on games that don't normally let you cheat, such as halo. i like to call it "gameshark pro for the mac" (pro because you need to know how to use it.) take the tutorial, its a great program.

Or you can just mod the game so your pistol fires different ammo. Like rocket rounds. Note: The use of tank rounds indoors is generally a bad thing. It really does take all of the fun out of it though.

I posted a thread on this a few months back. It has to be done to the individual maps with a hex editor. Download a list of the offsets from a PC Halo modder site and mod away. Remember, for Mac maps, there has to be an exchange of strings so the checksum matches.

It's not really hard. Find a list of offsets for the various maps. Offsets are the locations of the various bits of vital info in the maps. Use a hex editor and go to the listed info for the first value, like the assault rifle round. Copy that info and paste it somewhere. Then go to the location of the sniper rifle round. Copy that, then paste the assault round over that. Then paste the sniper over the assault. You are done. With the PC versions, from what I have read, you can paste values over multiple weapons without anything crashing - everything can fire a sniper round. With the Mac version, the program seems to do a checksum on the file before loading it.
