Apple as in cupertino or Apple as in local Apple store? Good luck with either. I am 17 and would kill to get a job there. I am praying somehow i can get an internship in cupertino in college next year but I don't even know if they do that. I would settle for anything in the area actually, just so i could visit the apple campus.

There are many summer internships. Generally, they are looking for people with declared majors. Actually, this time of year is late to look for an internship (as general information - I realize you aren't looking now), and many people start to look beginning in September or October for the following summer.

You'll never get one if you don't apply, so don't let anyone discourage you from that. Apple even recruits interns from foreign countries.

Here's a link to the intern page, and that has a link to job search:

My girlfriend worked for Guinness for a while.

They don't want fanatics... Go to college, apply like crazy and try to get an internship with them...

It is late now, but when I interned there, they hired later than most other companies... September or October is probably a little early, but be sure to catch a representative when they stop by your campus.

What was your major when interned there?

Is there is a good year to intern in college?

Alot of the open positions seem to be software positions while I am going into computer engineering although programming is no problem.

I know for my local apple store you have to be 18, or atleast thats what they told me. Something about child labor laws and having to able to "close" the store. I don't know if that is a state thing or they just made it up.

Try something daring. Move to a foreign country where Apple has a manufacturing plant. Work there (for pennies or food), and work your way up. Hey at least you'll have a shoe in.

Computer Science.

Best year is probably after your junior year, but there are freshmen and sophomores too.

They actually hire more hardware interns than software, I think they just don't list the hardware ones as zealously on the web site.
