This is up there with the worst thing someone could go through in life. I can't believe this actually happened the way it did.

The same type of crashes? Wow, just wow.

That's terrible.

The father told authorities he had been talking with Rory McDowell on a cell phone about the time of the crash

Well of course they were speeding. If there were no other factors (alcohol, other drivers, bad road conditions) then they'd have to be speeding pretty good to die from the crashes.

Ah yes, that too. Chalk another one up for the argument to ban cell phones while driving (which I'm all for).

I remember back in the days of being crazy biker types, there was this guy called Dave Hill. Racing his mate Baggo one day (and we're talking 140 mph+ easy) he took a corner a little too wide and hit a car coming the other way. Both he and the car occupants died.
The car occupants? His fiance's parents.
Been inclined to wander... off the beaten track.
That's where there's thunder... and the wind shouts back.

Sadness....some of those rural roads are too narrow and windy. It's crazy that some people think they know 'em so well they can drive on 'em super fast with no issues.

Absolutely horrific.

That is THE WORST.

I can't recall anything quite that horrible recently.
