Got the new Brushed (great theme Max!). Said "the hell with performance" and threw Metallifizer into my Panther setup too.

Thing is, I have Metallifizer running and set to "Metalifize" but I can't see any difference in the interface... even after rebooting.

So what exactly does Metalifizer give me in Panther when using it with Brushed?

Silly me, I thought a separate topic deserved a separate thread.

Now, instead of an unwarranted flame, it might have been helpful to answer my question.

Anyone wanna help out?

Set it to deMetalifize and you'll get the metal texture, until SS supports textured metal it's not going to look right as metal.

What gets the metal texture? (Apologies, I'm a wee tad slow today.)

In Safari, I notice that the window title bar takes on the metal look, but the tabs and button bar lose it. It's the opposite without Metallifizer.

Is there another specific thing I could look at to see what else metallifizer is doing along side brushed?

All metal apps with ShapeShifter enabled lose their metal textures. Only Aqua apps under Brushed have that brushed look.

Exactly, until it's fixed in later versions of SS.
