There is a program/hack for OS X that makes it so the OS auto hides all programs, except the one you have at the front. Can anyone tell me what this program was called, or something else I can get to do the same thing? Thanks!

DragThing offers this functionality through it's hotkey preferences. Butler can also be configured to do it through Hot Keys. There's probably about a DOZEN different programs you could do this through - do a search over at versiontracker.

If you don't want to auto-hide (makes multi-tasking very hard), you can quickly hide background programs by pressing command-option h.
