That photo is definitely fake, probably 'shopped by BP, but whales and small yachts have had a history of being pissed at each other.

Wait, I've seen whales jump like that.

Why isn't this real? Do you have a reason? Like, "the pixels are wrong"?

I should clarify, the first three shots look fake to me. Something about them, and what are the chances of someone catching something like this, especially with a camera on hand?

Not to mention this happened on Sunday, and was reported then - but all of a sudden, pictures come out on Tuesday? Hmmm. I guarantee you a whale of that size and weight would have done a lot more damage to a boat of that size and sent the captain flying about 45 yards into the air - but he wasn't even looking, so I'm sure he had time to prepare himself.

Why do we not have any pictures of the whale on the boat, nothing in between at all. No pictures of the purported "whale blubber" that was supposedly "all over" the boat. Why is the side of the boat not damaged at all? By the angle of that whale, it had to nail the side hull of the boat, but instead, it looks like it went under a low bridge.

I'm all for the damage pictures of the boat being real, but not by a whale....

By the way, it's REAL.

There's a video of it.

June 2003: 129,839,000 employed
2.21 million jobs were LOST after 2 years of Bush Tax Cuts.

I bet they crashed their boat and made fake pictures to collect on insurance so they don't have to keep throwing cash into that money pit.

They probably used indoor carpet and non-marine grade plywood.

The original source for this story indicates they were heading back to port. They didn't seem too far from land so running under a genny would not be too difficult/time consuming for the trip back to port.
One should never stop striving for clarity of thought and precision of expression.
I would prefer my humanity sullied with the tarnish of science rather than the gloss of religion.

WTF?

The server never even responded to my first submittal attempt before I gave up and left for work.
