Hi,

My client recently futzed around with their FTP so I can no longer access it via Cyberduck, Finder, etc..., or any other ftp client. It seems I can only use a web browser (FireFox) to grab my files.

I was wondering if this is a port access thing and if I can use wget to access my ftp folder. I made an attempt and it failed, but thought it might just be my settings.

Any ideas?

Sounds like they closed port 21.

wget should still work though.

try to run wget in verbose mode (-vvv) to see what might cause the problems.

Thanks for the quick reply. What other ports might they be using for FTP? Maybe I can adjust CyberDuck's port for that bookmark.

Well, they might use port 22 for SFTP.

Buy really, you should talk to your client's IT person and find out how they would want you to do your job.
