This popped up when I tried viewing besson's hotdog thread.
firefox 4.0
edit:
I can make it happen whenever I enter the hotdog thread. No other threads have this.

It has been a common issue for a few weeks here.

I haven't seen it. I wonder what about the thread is triggering this... I looked at all the sig pictures, none of which are hosted in such a way to cause this. Hmmm....

I'm not seeing it when I go to the thread.
To members who DO get the authentication request....Are you running any ad blocking? If not, I wonder if this is coming from a poorly-made ad?

It happened in the ****** thread, too.
Edit: Uh, that's rim job.

I had this happen today or yesterday in one of the Lounge threads (can't remember which).

I think it was an idisk link in iMOTOR's sig. Which is not there when I checked just now.
I solved it by firewalling off 69.192.205.206. Before that, it made the browser unusable when visiting an affected thread.

I figured out it was iMOTOR's sig image this morning and just PM'ed him.
He was unaware of the issue but took care of it immediately - problem solved.
Does anybody remember when Ca$h was hosting his sig image on his pimped iMac at home, resulting in colossal stalls and time-outs for 90% of the board members here? He was a complete dick about it for *months* until somebody convinced him to find a proper host…

I found that hitting cancel twice resulted in a working thread.
Thanks for your help!
