I am doing some archiving and I need software in which I can turn PDF's in searchable text for my database. It is mainly receipts, bills, and tax documents. I am thinking scanning software with OCR is a the right direction to go in. Does anyone have any ideas that could help me with this?

Thanks

If they are PDFs, Adobe Acrobat Pro does OCR, and actually does it very well, in my experience.

Acrobat's OCR doesn't work nearly as well as OCRKit.
