I listen to audio books lot when I drive. The iPod charges and plays through the FM adapter in the car without problems. However, when I recharge through my computer, even though I do so on manual and don't sync content, the point at which I interrupted the book, which in the car has always been saved, is reset to zero, and I have to search through many chapters to find out and pick up where I was before. Any ideas why this happens, and whether it can be avoided?

I believe if you get info on the book in iTunes there is an option to remember position.

Hope that helps.
