I just got my 15" powerbook back from Apple (white spot fix) and installed Panther. The backlight for my keyboard no longer works. I guess there's a conflict with the backlight function and Expose. Is there a fix yet?

Strange. I have a 15" PB with Panther and my keyboard backlighting works just fine.

I would guess you have probably already checked the keyboard and mouse panel in system preferences to make sure the keyboard lighting is turned on. Outside of that, I don't know what to try.

Yeah, I did a clean install and zeroed out the drive before I installed Panther. The settings for the keyboard are right and I can't figure it out.

drillerkiller, if you restart your computer the ALS will come back on but once you put the Mac to sleep and wake it up it won't work again. Try this fix and this should be permanent.
Go to the Macintosh HD/library/preferences and delete the file called "com.apple.BezelServices.plist"
Empty the trash and then restart the computer and the ALS should be back to normal.

Is this an issue with clean installs? I upgraded from Jag and my PB's b/l is ok (even after sleep and awake).
