hi there.

I am using iTunes 4.2. Today my wife downloaded some new songs from ITMS and ever since then BOTH of our iPods do not update. Funny thing happened when she was buying the music, it said something like there was a new version of iTunes and did she want to transfer the keychain yada yada yada. She said yes.

I wiped the memory using RESET on iPod updater 1.3.1, now iTunes recognizes it but will not allow Protected AAC Audio Files to be transferred, only MP3s.

What the F!!!!

Anybody else experience this? What can I do to get my iPod back?

VX

PS: first gen 10Gig iPods, moving scroll wheel.

Did you try resetting the iPod software?

Use the iPod software update utility in your Applications -> Utilities folder and RESET the iPod. Note: This will erase all data on the iPod, but if you have it all backed up in iTunes, it doesn't matter.

i only have one itms song and it works fine. could this be a permissions thing? have you tried to "get info" on the physical file and then see if it is locked or what permissions you have. i really have no experience with this, but i thought this might help.
