Truly. I wouldn't worry about it too much, though, because I'm sure they still have OS X Pussy in their back pockets for a rainy day.

Lion, Lynx (great name for a "connected" OS, but then there is already a browser called that), Bobcat, I'm sure there are more...

No Doofy we'll just invite your sig around .

Going by their latest software update, they will carry on OS X until they get to OS X Sylvester 10.10.11 v1.1b

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

iPhone's version of OS X should be called Ocelot.

OS 17, code name: Pampas
It will require 8 terabytes of RAM, and 500 petabytes of free space.

...
I didn't know there were so many cats:

Jeez, again?

(Interesting fact of the day: Azrael is a common English name for the Islamic angel of death عزرائیل.)

I'm a big fan of Lion for an OS X cat... the Lion is the king of all cats, after all. I was really under the impression that 10.5 would be called Lion up until it was previewed at WWDC2006.

People think every friggin' version is going to be called Lion. Someday they'll be right.

I'd pick Cougar or Ocelot. If it's the former, maybe they'll get John Mellencamp to endorse it.

I heard that build 4K78 will suddenly activate all of 10.6's features on its release date.

I'm thinking they eventuall split the codenames for the desktop and server versions. The desktop will be Cringer and the server will be Battle-Cat.

I don't quite get the new naming developers use nowadays , suddenly dreamweaver 5 was followed by MX, then MX2004 and then Studio 8.
Photoshop is now CS3 instead of 9
Final Cut Pro 1, 2 3, STUDIO, and Studio2..

Whats wrong with high numbers?

edit : and if you go from OSX 4.8 to 4.9 adding 0.1 makes it X.5 instead of 4.10 doesn't it ??
