I just bought two brand new XServe spares kits which include motherboard and cpu, power supply, blower & 60GB drive with carrier. Problem is when they arrived it turns out they're for a 1ghz tray load Xserve not a 1.33ghz slot-load which is the machine I have on order.

Can any of you techies tell me if the parts are interchangeable, they're only for emergencies and I'm not bothered about going from 1.33ghz to 1ghz in an emergency.

Hmm, I'm not sure if they would work; however, why not do a return with Apple and get the actual kit you really need?
