No new "I'm a PC. I'm a Mac" ads in over 122 days.

Does anybody think that the Hodgman/Long ad saga has reached a permanent end, and Macintoshes will be sold with a whole new campaign formula?
If so, what would be the most effective way to sell them? On the other hand, what would be the most likely path Apple would take to advertise Macs?
Or maybe they will expect Macs to sell themselves.

Thank god. Those ads always made me feel embarrassed to be a Mac user.

I don't miss the ads one bit. Maybe something new will come about.

Eh. I thought the first few were clever, but they wore out their welcome pretty quickly. It's time to move on.

How will Macbooks and iMacs do, left on their own in a Windows 7 world. Can they sell themselves?

Some of them. Some were great.
This one is my favorite.

I think with the amount of good press windows 7 got Apple may actually hold off till x.7 before having a big blitz. I think this year is going to be the year of the iPhone and iPad as far as marketing goes.

Microsoft only needs one ad:
Windows 7, the first MS OS that doesn't suck.

I don't agree. All MS OS's suck. Even Windows 7.
