I have just got a new 5th gen ipod and tried to connect it via an AUX cable into my car CD player but all it does is play out of the speaker on the back on the ipod.....

My old ipod worked fine this way and i had no problems...

Anyone know the reason why is does this? and is there a soluation?? many thanks in advance....

Bad cable? Not putting your stereo into AUX mode?

Do headphones work? If headphones work, it's not the iPod.
