I have 2 ISPs (cyberzone [local] and ATT[national])
Lately my Ti has only been showing them @ 28888 and sometimes 2488
why is the modem going so slow? what is going on? can i reset my modem settings to go back the way they were before i installed ATT (thats when it all started going downhill)

that probably means att installed a "digital" phoneline for ya...
i know many new [expensive] developments that can never dial up more than 26.4k...

well my PC can connect @ 45
as can my other computers in my house....only my Ti displayees 288

Try using the PowerBook with the same phone socket and modem cable you're using with the PC. If you still get problems, you either have a damaged modem (or modem socket) or more likely it's a software problem. Try with a different modem script in the Modems control panel.

my powebooks do the same. for some reason the internal pb modems and my phone lines dont groove well. usually 28.8. when the modem on my 3400c got fried i bought an external serial modem and all of a sudden I was connecting with speed racer skills.
