Well a while ago I installed the PB from a downloaded copy (sorry, I know im bad but I just wanted to test her out) and the cd was doing all sorts of crazy stuff like making wierd noises while installing. Well anyway try 1 erased my whole HD. This reeeealllly pissed me off. Try 2 got the PB to install but no os9. From then on I couldnt even boot from a os9 cd, it just stalled and I had to restart. Well ive been getting used to X but I cant even use any of my programs because of no classic support. Ive tried zapping the pram. I havent been able to work on my web design the whole school year! Just browse the interent and check my email. ARRRGGG. Im getting a P29 soon but I would like to have my lombard working. Does anyone know how I can get os9 back???

You need 9.1 for it to work - hasn't the PB expired now?

Yea it should have expired, but with no other way to use my computer I wasnt gonna let it! So if I get a new computer and hook em up with an ethernet crossover cable can I erase the HD on the Lombard? Or even better, if I buy a copy of OS X final will it let me get my computer back?

Hooking up to your Lombard via ethernet - if the Lombard will allow it - will mean you can access and erase the HD. OS X final will also allow you to install over the PB - however, I have heard of people encountering problems installing OS X over the PB - poor performance etc.
