Turntablism, High End

Z-Trip, awesome, one of my favorite DJs everer.

Craze has skills above the entire world when it comes to manipulating a turntable.

They focused on Miami Style Bass for this show, it was a great collaboration. DJ Magic Mike even opened up the night! We had a great time.

Here's some pics and vids from the show:
Z-Trip

Craze

My friend took the photos, I didn't have my camera. There's more here.

Like a photo, but it moves:

Z-Trip is my favorite DJ ever too, Ice. Are there other albums out there besides his live in LA? Hit me up if you know

is it really that the camera wasnt held still, or is it more so the fact that the subjects are moving?

Steve - I have tons of his mixes.. I'll get back to you.

ambush - Dark club, no flash, hand held. sorry. (8MP Nikon)

iRez - Yeah, I'd say it lends to teh coolness of the photos. They're never standing still.

EFFENDI - No, this is most of the footage.

I have a Powerbook too. But I don't DJ.

Seriously, I like seeing people use Macs in a productive way other than design, helps get the shabang. I'm sure the iPod contributed to many musicians taking the leap.

Don't worry Ice, your thread is much better than those that get derailed by CERTAIN PEOPLE!!!!!

iRez I'm with you on Rjd2! Def Jux, werd.

But the record he did with Aceyalone wasn't killer. But I do like tracks like 'Disconnected'.
Also liked the beats he did with Blueprint 'Soul Position'.

I throw "my favorite" around fairly lightly I guess.. When I first heard of him I was astounded, he could mix ANYTHING with ANYTHING and is a sick party-rockin' DJ. Pretty good MC too! He broke ground with his mixing style, and it's copied left and right today. If I hear "You Shook Me All Night Long" by AC/DC mixed with Ton Loc's "Wild Thing" in another SoFL Club, I might fall down.

I've been jamming to Diplo and some of that Baltimore Crunk type stuff a lot lately.

Thanks for the links Ice.

I like Z-trip because everyone recognizes the songs he's mixing, so it's great for parties and chilling or whatever. It's not elitist like a lot of the other mixtape stuff that my buddies listen to.
