I was able to get the "small" non HD version to load. It had to load the entire trailer before it would play though which is not something I had ever had to do. I have no idea why the iPod version failed to download.
It looks bad compared to the first movie but still way better than any of the living dead movies made after the first 3
You can watch this if you need something to tide you over: Night of the Living Dead in 30 seconds with bunnies.

i had the same problems with the HD content as well.
glad they're at least trying to tackle a somewhat original concept for a zombie/infected movie. altho i'd much rather see World War Z made into a movie/series.

28 Days Later is one of my favourite movies ever, no joke. It's gorgeously shot and has solid acting, cool "horror," relatively original ideas and/or implementation, and a great ending that makes you want to be all animal-like and sneak around in the woods killing bad guys.
Oh, and the first time I saw it, I was sitting there at the beginning and Godspeed You! Black Emperor started playing, and I almost creamed my pants. I knew it would be good, right then. A great soundtrack is essential for any movie to make my "best of" list.
In conclusion: that they are making a sequel makes me pissed off. Sigh.

Holy frak. Sounds like a fun sequel. Maybe we'll get a little more reality this time instead of just rescue fantasy.

I was a premature baby. My mom got pregnant by accident. Well, 28 weeks later, I was welcome to the world and the world has never been the same since. I looked like a freakin baby zombie.

Have heart, I read not to long ago that a studio has picked up the rights for WWZ. If you get a chance, grab the audio book. Some great readers in that. Yes, I'm talking about you Herny Rollins.

Is that the band that did the music when he was wondering around and ended with all the missing/letters? Can you name the song please?

Ahhhh yeah, it was at the beginning when he wakes up in the hospital and starts wandering around trying to find people. It's "East Hastings" from the album "f#a# infinity" (I think it's called). But I warn you, they're a weird band, and the part in the movie is only one part from a song that's about 18 minutes long or something.
Anyways, I recommend picking up "Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven" if you want a good starter album by them. Great stuff, if you've got the patience (and some alone time!).

Technically, they're not zombies because they aren't dead.

Finally was able to watch the trailer. Haven't seen 28 days later yet. However, this doesn't look too bad. Looks like there is a human factor involved to build the story around.

I thought they were alive.
That's why they starve at the end, isn't it?

Technically, as far as classic Zombie movies go, they do not gain any sustenance from eating and it is merely a primal instinct dealy.
28 Days Later was miles ahead of pretty much any Z movie made. I still like Romero's films but 28 Days was a phenomenal movie.
Hopefully this won't screw everything up

I guess the thing I don't like about these movies is you know exactly what will happen for the next 2 hours.
Smallish city, 1 person gets weird illness from some gone wrong government experiment, in 15 min 99% of the town is sick, few remaining normals barricade themselves inside somewhere while all the zombies try to get in, everything is cool when 1 normal does something stupid and gets bit, nobody notices he/she is bit, suddenly the bit person go instantly rabid and go after the other normals, army comes in and wants to nuke the whole town, few remaining normals make a run for it blasting zombies along the way, they all die except for the cute straight couple who just met, movie ends with them thinking they got away from it all but also suggests they are going to be zombied within a few minutes after the credits roll.
Now that's entertainment.

Er…that's not the plot of 28 Days Later, as far as I recall.

Nothing after "Smallish city, 1 person gets weird illness from some gone wrong government experiment, in 15 min 99% of the town is sick" really applies. I mean, kindasorta if you really want to stretch, but not really as described.

As the resident expert on zombies, I have to concur with olePigeon. They are not dead, they are simply infected with "Rage." The whole point of having the officer chained up in the yard was to see how long it takes for them to starve. Eventually, most of them do starve.
From the standpoint that they're only following their primal instincts (as do normal zombies), one could argue that they're in a zombie-like state. However, since they're not undead, they're not truely zombies.
28 Days Later is still one of my favorite zombiesque movies.

In that case they should just drop a Prozac bomb on the town and be done with it.

yeah, 28 Days Later was amazing.
World War Z eBooks are also very very good
I think the attention to detail was what made 28 Days Later so so good. I'm hoping for some more zombie flicks in the near future, Land of the Dead (the one in the mine?) was so awesome (the original, not sure if they remade that one).
Dawn of the Dead were both very decent too.
This leads to the question, which zombie type do you prefer: Slow or Fast? Smart or Primal Instincts?

Land of the Dead was the newest one, you are thinking of Day of the Dead which is quite possibly the most gruesome Z flick ever made.
I like both styles of Zombies. The fast ones are great for one-on-one Zombie encounters but become a little overwhelming in numbers. I prefer hordes of slow zombies like in Romero's films and fast zombies when only 5 or 6 of them have the screen at once as seen in 28 Days.
There is a re-make of Day of the Dead coming at some point and the main character is the girl from American Beauty. From what I've seen I think the original is going to be way better though

finally saw 28 weeks later. Whoa.
Very very good, seriously gory
Its a solid 7.5/10 from me, the sound is amazing.
Loved the beginning
Interesting the difference between the UK version:
When the US Soldier pushes the stalled car out of the gas, he gets lit on fire by flamethrower troops, and you see him burn to death. Seriously gory.
US Version:
From what I can gather the gas kills him, the soldier pushes the car, winks and collapses. Cheesy
