I just ordered my new G4! 933 with a 17" LCD. Educators price $2820

You are telling us the educators prices is $1100 of the retail value of this system? I checked education prices last week and they were all about $50 off per item, not $500-$1000 off.

I'm looking at my web invoice right now....PowerMac G4 933 educator price $2161 with a 17" flat panel monitor for $959, minus $300 for the monitor rebate which is still going on and it's $2820....then $162.15 for tax...free shipping...all total $2982.15

ugh, that's $1000 less than what I paid for my 867mhz + 17" lcd back in december.

Total cost for me was $3,900, but that's excluding the $300 rebate and I also bought applecare.

Still, it makes me feel crappy thinking if I woulda held out I could've bought a dual 1ghz! sigh!

Yeah....I'm glad I waited. BUT....I was one of the poor saps that bought a Yikes G4.....so I guess I know how you feel. Now to get my hands on the new one so I can retire the Yikes!
