time to replace the old one....
Price not important....
I've been such a good american, i've tuned out all the commercials on TV...now i have no idea what to buy. I've got pretty sensitive skin, especially on my neck...if that makes any difference.
any good recommendations?

Go with the quintuple blades from Gillette if you don't care about price, in my experience they're easier on the skin. I wouldn't worry about buying Gillette's expensive shaving cream, I don't notice much of a difference between it and regular shaving cream.
Retracted, see below.

I used electric shavers for years but I've given up on them. They never shave as close as a real razor can. I always had issues with them in the summer or after I showered and my skin was moist. The worst thing is if I decided to skip a couple of days shaving then use the electric razor Ouch! Not so with my Mach 3 razor. I haven't tried any razor beyond three blades since this mach 3 works well enough for me.

The only suggestion I have is to get one that just plugs in, rather than one with a rechargeable battery. Most problems with those things come from the battery. Unless you shave where there is no outlet - just get one that plugs in.

I've yet to get a shave as close as a straight edge razor from a barbershop, though I wouldn't dare think of putting that blade on my skin myself.
Cheapo disposables otherwise, the electrics just don't cut it for me. (sorry, bad pun not intended)

I use a combo: the above electric and then a Fusion twice. I have a tough beard, but that gets thigns nice and smooth (until 3:30 or so).

Never mind, I retract my recommendation for Gillette, they use RFID:
"The tracking system uses sensors hidden under Gillette shelves to detect when products are picked up.
Whenever a shopper picks up a packet of razor blades from a spy shelf, SNAP! A hidden camera secretly takes a closeup photo of the shopper's face. (And a second photo is snapped at the cash register to make sure the product is paid for!) "
Boycott Gillette
