That is a nice laptop. It kind of makes you wonder how long it will take for Apple to put C2Ds (just a matter of time) and real graphics chips (might never happen) into MBs.

No its GBP - pounds.

Sure, it looks quite swanky, and has a GFX card and C2D, but if you are trying to compare this to a MacBook, then thats absurd, because a MacBook base model is 750, this is 350 more, about 40% more expensive than a MB.

Even if I configure the MacBook base model to come with 1GB RAM and a 120 GB HD, it is still only 999, 100 less than the Sony.

Sure, the Sony has a GFX card and a better CPU, but the CPU used is the version with just 2MB Cache, and without VT technology, so its the budget end of the C2D line. Also, I value the ability to use OS X much higher than 100

Edit: GRRRR! why don't pound symbols work?!
iMac Core Duo 1.83 Ghz | 1.25GB RAM | 160HD, MacBook Core Duo 1.83 Ghz | 13.3" | 60HD | 1.0GB RAM

Ahh, you know your right. I didn't check the link. That thing costs about $1800. Screw that. For non-gamers, the MB (BTO) is a better value. For gamers, 13" is a small screen.

£ doesn't seem to work either, but then, that is HTML.

Gotta love the OS X trump card. It immediately negates any PC to Mac comparison.
