Not sure if this is the correct forum since this is a SU item, but it trashed my PowerBook's Bluetooth adapter while attempting to update the firmware on my keyboard (not the PowerBook's obviously). The Bluetooth menu bar extra had a broken icon across the Bluetooth icon. When you click on it it reads "Not available." The System Prefs pane also disappears.

I had to reset my PMU to get Bluetooth back again and the keyboard working. The firmware was never updated. Attempting to do so again repeats the problem.

Monitoring the Apple boards, others have had similar problems, so beware.

Thank you Apple for releasing another half-baked software release.

Al 15" PowerBook G4 Rev. A, 10.4.3 Edit: Specs (if that even makes a difference)

I haven't ran the update yet, am waiting to hear from others. I don't want this to break connection with my Motorola e815. Keep posting anyone who tries it out!

Is this really an official Apple release?
The product requirements on VersionTracker make me sceptical - I've never heard the iMac referred to as "Gooseneck", and a 12" Titanium PowerBook?!

iMac G4 (Gooseneck)
12" Titanium PowerBook
15" Titanium PowerBook
MBP 15" 2.33GHz C2D 3GB 2*23" ACD

For whatever reason, it has not appeared in mine yet..

Both my Apple internal BT adapters have said that I don't need the updater when I run it. The one on my Mac Mini and my 12" Albook. WHen you run the installer it actually tells you if you need it or not.

The updater isn't in my SU. I have a D-link adapter and already applied the Apple "1.2 bluetooth firmware update" that came out, like, over a year ago. This new one is the "Bluetooth Firmware Update for Mac OS X 10.4.3" but also called "Bluetooth Firmware Update 1.2" on that page. Is it not the same as the Bluetooth Firmware Updater 1.2 that was released November 2004?!
