How many engines has it been through? Upgraded coils? How's the compression? Remember not to flood it.

Fantastic chassis. Like, one of the all-time greats. Terrible engine.

There's a guy here who autocrosses a stock one and totally shits on everyone else. Seriously, he runs standard street-legal tires (albeit good ones) and changed out the shocks, but that's it. Porches, Evos, Subarus, Mustangs, Miatas, even if they're running slicks it doesn't matter. He's on stock width street tires and he'll beat them all. Of course, after his second engine started to go (this time out of warranty), he traded it in on a V8 M3 but after a few months missed the RX8 too much so he found a mint 2011 RX8 R3 and bought it.

Yes. The stories are legion.

It's just has a rebuild. Weirdly it was the bearings that went apparently rather than the seals. Still it's been looked at. Coils are new. Hot and cold start seems spot on.

So far yes, the chassis seems a hoot. It's not as fast as 192 BHP would indicate but it sure goes round corners.
Came with a full years MOT (annual UK test) has 47,000 on the clock and solid history. All for £800. So really whatever happens I'm happy.

I think the MPG might be a bit painful.
