Well, here's something a little different.

I was notified this morning that when a Mac users has an Excel spreadsheet open from a server that PC users can not see the file. It disappears. But but when the Mac user saves and closes the file, PC users can see it out on the server again.

Is this just normal in the world of Windows/Mac Networking?

The PC users are used to being notified that they can't access a file because someone else is using it. That isn't happening with Mac users opening the files.

Any background, or information would be helpful. Thanks in advance!
