Preview.app icon question

Hi,
I sat down and watched the Panther commercial. The one with that long haired dude showing off Panther in an Apple Store. Anyways...... I noticed that when he was previewing Preview(wth?) the icon that zoomed out on the screen is not the one included in Panther. My question is, why is that not included? I found the "real" icon in my collection though, but it seems odd that it's still that scary looking kid. !?
Has this been debated before ?? I'm open to flames etc. 
Where should this have been posted? :S

i got bored one day and changed the scary kid to an image a friend of mine sent me of her. i would rather have her in my dock that the possessed kid.

I thought I was the only one who thought that kid was kind of scary looking. It would be neat for Preview to get a slight icon face-lift.

For now you could just right-click on the last one and save it - it's a png. then use Iconverter to make an icns and then Pixadex to make a real OS X icon.

I never liked the preview icon very much. It always takes me a long time to find it in the dock. With this in mind I replaced the pictures with a couple of my own based on different colours:

I have had a much scarier Preview icon since I replaced the stock one with this MM one back during the OSX 10.0.0 days!
