Apple really screwed up on the new iTunes 5! Just have look at Apples own Descussion board, all the PC “nerds” are trying everything to correct the issues. I can’t imagine what people with no or little technical knowledge are doing. iTines 5 is defiantly now worth all these troubles, and it hurt Apple’s reputation?

Wow, the situation looks terrible. I hope there is something Apple can do to make it up to these ppl.

Sucks for them!

Works blazingly fine on my PC

I haven't even tested the macs yet.

edit: well if my memory serves me correct, I did get some sort of error on installation.. but it hasnt hindered functionality of iTunes at all!

Odds are those people have 'unauthorized' music on their iTunes or iPod, and it's messing things up.

Just a thought.

For my Windows friends, one of them had trouble installing iTunes 5. However, the second time worked for him. On my iBook G3 (10.3.9) & G4 (10.4.2) and DP G4 1.25 (10.4.2), no problem at all. My dad's Toshiba notebook (WinXP SP2) had no problem installing iTunes 5 as well.
