damn, the paint and the polished pieces really give the car some depth. But the real question is, will it perform as well as it looks?

The real question is; How does it look when it flies apart? That's the real reason anybody watches F1 anyways.

Maybe in the U.S., that is the case but definitely not elsewhere in the world. We prefer to watch the teams finish the race and take points... :-)

It is a beautiful car. But like someone else said, what does it look like without all the logos. I would imagine it is just as beautiful "as is".

Nah you obviously are watching it for a different reason than true F1 fans watch it for.

I like the look of the retro cars the best. Before they got the aerodynamics sorted.
My personal fave, Jackie Stewart's 1969 car.

I really don't like it. It looks too busy for me (and the red reminds me of the new Midland livery). The 2005 McLaren looked great. Simple and elegant.
Oh, and McLaren will be fine but I fear it'll be like last year - a few races to get going.

I never understood Formula 1. It's almost as boring as Nascar. Give me a good rally anyday. And the cars all look the same to me.

I agree with you that rally races are probably the best to watch. But F1 is far from nascar, at least they dont turn left for a whole afternoon.

Haha! Funny and I don't think your comment is non-sense at all. There's probably much to it!
However, I was watching a Modern Machines episode last week or so and it said the downforces exerted on the cars (Indy?) are sufficient to allow them to run the track completely upside down!
Is that true?
NOW THAT'S A RACE I WOULD WATCH!

Actually, last years regulations changed the size of the rear wing - so that there would be more advertising space.

Like I said in response to paul w's post, I'm not surprised.
But as far as the O.P.'s topic, the car looks visually 'busy' to me. It's difficult to get a sense of it. Maybe in person or a different view or image of it might change my opinion, FWIW.

And yes, the downforce created by the cars allow them to easily run upside down if need be.

How the F*** can a car, any car, "run upside down"?

If you turn the car upside down, the downforce created by the wings becomes "upforce" that would be sufficient to hold the car against an overhead track.

I LOVE the Johnny ad on the sidepod.
I'm not sure if this phrase was ever used in any official Johnny Walker ads, but I saw this on the front of a pub and I thought it was great:
"The whole world stands aside for the man who knows where is he going. Keep Walking." Johnny Walker
Wooooootttt.......
