I'm in the UK, which may as well be a third world country as far as online banking and personal finance software in general is concerned.

From my online banking, I can export a CSV occasionally with an update of all my banking ins and outs.

I want to be able to import this file into an iphone app, rather than enter things manually.

At a glance, I want to be able to see which direct debits are still unpaid, which have been paid already, and how much cash I have spare.

Any apps you recommend? Some of the apps seem hamstrung in one way or another.....

Checking out Mint.com - looks really nice. I have been using Yodlee.com for years - it works great - its a free, fantastic service.

Very interesting - I was looking around on the Yodlee site - Mint is a customer of Yodlee. As I looked at Mint, the functionality reminded me of Yodlee - Yodlee must be the backend for mint.com-

Another vote for Mint. It makes it ridiculously (and painfully!) easy to chart just how many hundreds of dollars I've spent on computer crap and gadgets in the last six months.
Sell or send me your vintage Mac things if you don't want them.

Mint looks great, but like I say, we're like a third world country here for this sort of thing, so no joy.

Went with the seeminly capable "Day Bank". Tried a few of the others, and they seemed just SO poor.

Now depressed at how poorly I've coped this season, what with a few things still to come out of my account..., ah well, tis christmas.

Mint is awesome. It's definitely the future of personal finance management.
If they continue to develop the product, I can see Quicken and the like becoming obsolete for many.

Whats funny to me is that Mint.com is really just a pretty face for Yodlee MoneyCenter (www.yodlee.com) which i have been using for almost 5 years now. It is still available, and still free. Yodlee is the engine that powers Mint. Its VERY useful to have that kind of historical data (for example, to be able to look up how much money you use from the ATM every month - for the last 5 years!)

Yodlee has a pretty active user base, and forums as well. I had some obscure banks and investment accounts added to yodlee over the years thanks to my requests, and sure enough - they showed up on Mint.com - yodlee is the machine behind mint. It offers more functionality too - (tracking of reward accounts - airline miles, etc), but I am in the process of moving to mint simply due to the much better website design, and the terrific iphone app.

I will continue to interact with Yodlee because it is a much direct route to the engineers running the backend services that fetch the financial data.

Does anyone know if any of these products allow you to do a 'wish list' sort of thing where you can input what you want to buy or an amount you want to save and a date you want to save it by and it tells you how much you should put away each month?
