"Praise God! We are chosen to be in these times and also watch and spread the word. Something inside me is exploding to get out, and I don't know what it is. Its kind of like I want to do cartwheels around the neighborhood."

At least there is an upside to this whole war/dead children thing. Some "good Christians" are all upbeat!

Whoa. Way to miss the point of the End Times. The only thing to look forward to about them is the end, not the start.
You are in Soviet Russia. It is dark. Grue is likely to be eaten by YOU!

You think that's crazy? Iran has someone like that for their president

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main...4/ixworld.html

The most remarkable aspect of Mr Ahmadinejad's piety is his devotion to the Hidden Imam, the Messiah-like figure of Shia Islam, and the president's belief that his government must prepare the country for his return.
http://www.iranian.ws/iran_news/publ...le_10945.shtml
...
"Our revolution's main mission is to pave the way for the reappearance of the 12th Imam, the Mahdi," Ahmadinejad said in the speech to Friday Prayers leaders from across the country.
...
Ahmadinejad refers to the return of the 12th Imam, also known as the Mahdi, in almost all his major speeches since he took office in August.

I'm guessing these people are suicidal but are too chicken **** to go though with it if they are welcoming the end of the world.

That or they just want to feel special.

That's the most likely reason. These people are probably akin to those nerds in high school who talk about how they're too busy plotting to take over the world, or too busy scheming on becoming a billionaire, to have any friends.

I guess when you have nothing else going for you the death and judgement of billions of people plus the end of the world is all one needs as a pick me up.

I bet after every major news event, September 11th, the Tsunami, etc their rapture board lights up with activity. To them, everything is a sign of the end times. I'm sure some of you know this site, but if you haven't check out landoverbaptist.org

Well considering this is the first conflict to ever take place on earth and we had an earthquake and even a hurricane I can see how things are different than before. None of these things ever happened since Jesus split.

I blame Grand Theft Auto. That was the first sign as there was no violence before then.

Wonder what all these nut-cases excuse will be when they are still here in 2 months.

And here is SWG again showing he has no clue what he is talking about when it comes to religion.

I'd seriously go seek help SWG. You have too much hate built up inside you.

That can only give you premature wrinkles.

This is what I think of the rapture; the most ridiculous thing the Christian right has even invented.

I don't think you know what the Rapture is.

I think you are confusing it with something else.

We believe that along with the end time will come a great revival and renewal of hunger for God throughout the world. This, at least in my circles, is the cause for excitement. We haven't declared that this event marks the coming of God, but the worse it gets, the closer we are.

Monique, you preach tolerance. Please practice it.

We're not rejoicing because it's getting bad. We're keeping our heads up, because we've been ridiculed, trampled on, and pushed aside as time has passed by. "...be not troubled" We're not celebrating that people are being hurt. To insinuate that is, as Kevin said, displaying a complete ignorance of the Christian faith.

Even those that have tried to help him understand he doesn't listen to.

He doesn't WANT to know. He just wants to keep his own narrow-minded hateful beliefs about what religion is about. He doesn't care he is wrong.

I guess he posts these things to convince himself.

Much like Salty did before he came out of the closet.

SWG is struggling with his spirituality, and is now acting out.

That still doesn't make sense.

Esp since there is no "Right wing Christian" sect of Christianity.

Monique, take the chip off your shoulder.

You claim you are now a practicer of Judaism. Have you seen either one of us here Bash Judaism?

Of course not.

Jews and Christians bashing each other don't make a lot of sense.

Okay...let me rephrase myself. A hunger for a relationship with God and a godly lifestyle in accordance with the Word of God.

I hope they have the proper paperwork and permission for this gathering.

And I hope they clean the garbage up after themselves.

Is there a flying saucer gonna be there?

Will there be seating for us non-christians to watch?

I have many questions.

I know that I'm supposed to be offended or something, but the visual of this was hilarious to me. A big stadium, thousands of cheering supporters, hot dogs, flags...

Christianity…the world's largest elitist club.

It must really grieve you when you contemplate the fate of all of us who "just don't get it".
Being in debt and celebrating a lower deficit is like being on a diet and celebrating the fact you gained two pounds this week instead of five.
