Cool. I'd rock those jeans. They actually look pretty decent.
But as someone posted on the article, how would you wash those with the wiring inside? I assume the wiring wouldn't be affected by water.
Oh, and Levi's website says they'll be available in the U.S. in the Fall.

Well I am sure they thought of that as they didn't release it and then realize that it MIGHT get wet.
Not sure what they did though.

yeah, but that's more a guilty pleasure, i don't exactly wear it on my sleeve. (or in my pants.)
alright, here goes, while i admire the spirit of products like this, this strikes me as somewhat useless, the ipod is still in your pants where it will eventually skip if you have a fast gait as i seem to have, and the headphone jack is subsequently also on your pants. while i applaud the efforts of a company like burton with their jackets with ipod integration, i do so because you usually only have one jacket. what is the model for these pants? to buy 7 pairs? to only wear them once a week?
just seems like a half baked idea that's just riding this techno integration wave in search of a quick dollar.

What would be really cool is if the pants had some sort of kinetic type charging system in it. So as you walk, your motion would charge a battery. I'm sure there are some technical reasons why that isn't feasible, but it would be cool. That would at least give you a somewhat valid reason for integrating the iPod into a pair of pants.
But I digress, I like these Levi's. I'd buy a pair.

Someone posted this on that link you have above:
"I already saw these on sale in Dallas, and they were less than $100 if I remember correctly...certainly not 200 euros. If you want to check them out, go to the Dallas Gallaria Levi's."

Google finds dozens of links making it $ 200.
So in retail, it'll be less than that.
Where did you get the $ 300 from ?

never priced levis in europe, huh? when i was an exchange student in germany a made a tidy profit getting peoples sizes and then emailing them to my sister who'd pick up 501s at sears.
at the time, and with the exchange rate at the time they'd run for about $85 over there and $35 here.

Exactly.
Levis cost about EUR 85 right now, that's $ 106.

So how do EUR 200 become almost $ 300 ?
Discounting for the "luxury charge" in EUR, you should have calculated it to less than that.
