I'm getting the 17" from a company called PowerMax. Does anyone know this company or had any dealings with them? I live in South Africa and am a bit scared to wire so much money to a company that I know little about.
Also, the bag for the 17". Any suggestions? I will need something that holds pens, cd's and my paperwork. Don't need anything bulky but funky!

Congrats on your decision to get a 17" PB!
PowerMax is a great company with great service, you should feel very safe ordering from them as they have a wonderful reputation as a reseller for Macs.
Also, I would highly recommend the Brenthaven 17" Shoulder Case (See my review here: Click HERE for a carrying case. It is very well built and will provide ample room for all your supplies and accessories. Get that case cheapest from www.pcconnection.com
Good luck, and feel free to post any further questions!

I have no clue about PowerMax or who they are... sorry... As for the bag... I got the backpack from Apple, yea... the $180 one. I like it a lot because of the space and room I get in it. To me, it's well worth the money, plus, it's LTG, so it will last as long as the company lives.

PowerMax is a fine company. No worries there. As for bags my vote goes for Waterfield Designs at www.sfbags.com.
