Hello.
I have these two machines:
Aluminum PowerBook G4 15" 1 GHz (September 2003)
Aluminum PowerBook G4 15" 1.5 GHz (January, 2005)
The motherboard on the 2005 Powerbook is shot. The screen on the 2003 Powerbook is dim, and the case is somewhat beat up. I want to put the motherboard from the older working Powerbook into the newer Powerbook's enclosure. Is this possible? Obviously the external form factor looks the same. If this swap isn't possible, what parts would be interchangeable between the two? It would be nice to take the backlit keyboard from the newer Powerbook, for instance. I realize there's more to it than just the keyboard (sensor, wiring, etc.). Anyone with some knowledge to share?
Thanks much.
