Well what do you think? I've been using Limewire but I find that it drops waaay to many downloads, also the startup is painfully slow. Any suggestions?

depends what you're looking for...
For MP3's -> Audiogalaxy (http://www.audiogalaxy.com)
For AVI's (DIVX's) -> eDonkey2000 (http://www.edonkey2000.com)
For a walkthrough on setting up eDonkey see http://www.chaosmint.com/edonkey

I use it in Mac OS X.
For AudioGalaxy, I use Sputnix (for Mac OS X) - there is another one for OS X as well - which also works - but I haven't used it much. I believe it's called OpenAG.
It looks like the OS 9 client (MacSatellite) has been updated but with variable luck.
You can find these all on Versiontracker.com
another reason to switch entirely to OS X

I like LimeWire 2.0. I'm using it in both OS 9 and X. For me its been stable and rarely drops out.
Power users seem to like the VPC/Morpheus combo, but that's just a bit more involved than I want to get. Morpheus for Mac is coming so perhaps I'll give that a whirl.
