I am looking for a program that will remove the hard drive icons off my desktop. I know that I can go into the Finder Preferences and remove them from there but it doesn't do exactly what I am looking for.
I would like to keep my primary drive's icon on the desktop and remove my data drives and just access them from the Finder. Is there a script or app that will do this?
I did a search and didn't find anything. Any help is appreciated.

Could always put an alias to you primary drive on the desktop, and turn off all drive icons in the Finder preferences. The alias will stay put.

Didn't think of doing it that way. Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks

better yet, put an alias to all your drives in the dock, and keep your desktop completely clean

Personally I find it hilarious that you have the hots for my gramma. Especially seeins how she is 3x your age, and makes your Brittney-Spears-wannabe 30-something wife look like a rag doll who went thru WWIII with a burning stick of dynamite up her a** :)
