I've created an app that opens a file in an NSView subclass (inside a window). It overrides the keyUp and keyDown methods and functions perfectly fine when in this window. However I have a button to make it go fullscreen in a new window using a new instance of this NSView subclass. I make this window key and order it to the front but it does not appear to respond to the keypresses. I think the window behind continues to do so though.(?)

Can anyone explain what I'm doing wrong?

Set your NSView to be the full screen window's first responder: [myWindow makeFirstResponder:myView];
