If you'll notice, the icons indicating "working status" were constantly busy and the firefox icon was not. The message: firefox is faster.

I showed the first one to my wife - who is not really interested in any browser beyond Safari - and she laughed REALLY hard. Dumb? Sure! But funny-dumb.

I didn't realize that Safari's needle spun or the Netscape logo went "Na na na na na na" to indicate a page was loading. The only "working status" I saw was IE, and that was just to accentuate the joke...
