I assume there's no universal binary update in the works (am I wrong?) so wondered if it would run on my new iMac 17" 2ghz when I get it? Thanks.

Hi
It works on my Mac Mini (standard) but it is a little choppy, but it is playable. So your new imac should be ok with a faster chip than mine (1,66 core duo).
Hope that helps

Thank you

the GPU in the iMac is much better than the mini's, so that will also help

Just found a page on google saying they are working on a patch but no idea when it might be ready.

Sorry no updates on COD/UO patches right now. They've had to be shelved while we do some other more recent games (COD2, Quake3, etc). Once we get through this current set of patches we'll try to see if we can bring back COD1.
As far as running under Rosetta...on my iMac Core Duo it's runs just O-K. I can run it at acceptable frame rates (at least under multiplayer) but only at 800 x 600 and most settings turned down. It's shame because even at just under 3 years old, this game is still a beauty which can't be appreciated in the least under Rosetta on my machine. A universal binary would scream on any iMac, MBP, or obviously a Mac Pro.
