Any idea what this means? I haven't used it for ages but last time I did it was fine. If I boot from CD and change startup disk I can boot into OS9 OK. But if I choose 10.3.9 after the grey Apple logo I get the circle with line through it. This happened once before and I had to reinstall OS X - any idea what could cause it? A reinstall takes an age to do from CD.
The canceled grey circle is OS X's way to tell you that it can't find some files it needs to start up. You could try to boot from CD and repair the volume - other than that you're left with nothing but reinstalling OS X from scratch
