Hi, I just purchased and setup a new NetGear router with a built in wirerless connection for my iBook.
The problem is that AOL with not work over the airport connection.
Everything else works perfectly. Mozilla, IE, iChat, Mail, File sharing, etc.
Just not AOL.
My setup......
I'm using the OSX version of AOL with 10.2 static IP DSL service.
Aol works fine on my other computers.

Thanks..........

AOL is, at the very least, an odd duck. That is, it doesn't work like just about any other network application-on any platform. There are special versions of firmware for some companies' routers to allow AOL to work-see if Netgear mentions any of this on its tech support site.

Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. I did check the Netgear site. NO LUCK.
Does AOL use some other ports for communicating?
I tried mucking around in the Router settings but no luck there either
I also noticed that Redevous will not work too. Anyone know what port the program uses to find other users??? (On the same local network)
Other than not letting AOL work, it seems to be a great piece of Tech.
