I know. I know. This should probably go in peripherals or one of the other forums, but this is on a 17" and I know you guys (and trust you). So here goes...

Okay, yeah I've seen the switcher commercials about no drivers necessary and yeah, I've realized that that isn't ALWAYS the case. I've been using my old school Logitech Wheel Man mouse (the old blue one, their first optical) and I've been using it just strict plug and play (for lack of a better term). Well recently, I've noticed that I've had to keep turning up the sensativity in the mouse sys prefs, so I decided to cave. I went to the Logitech site and got the OS X drivers (this computer is so great I really like to watch what I put on it, no fluff like unnecessary drivers and proprietary software). Well, now I have an "Other" category in my sys prefs for the logitech control center. Don't get me wrong, the mouse works A LOT better and I can assign the mouse buttons (not that I really use more than what it was set up for originally).

But hey, is there a way to get rid of that Logitech Control Center from my sys prefs. I really just needed the drivers for the mouse and not all the other crap? Thanks in advance.
