Is there any way to have multiple docks...like, one on the right, one on the left, one on the bottom? I'm not looking for another Dock switcher application, and while DragThings is currently my preferred choice for Dock-like capabilities I'd prefer a second (or third) Dock, so I'm looking for some hack or application that allows you to make a second dock on another part of the screen. Anypone have any ideas?

What about cloning the Dock? Would it be possible to create multiple Dock programs and have them running simultaneously with different settings so that they appear on different sides?

I would think that Dock-it! and Drag Thing would both come under the rubric of what is being requested... Cheers

Well, as I said in my first post, I do currently use DragThing and I've used Dock-It in the past, but I was looking for a more...I dunno...genuine dock than what those two have to offer.
And, justinp, care to share some insight as to why it's impossible? I'd like some reasons, however brief, just so that I can take your posts seriously.

Multiple docks has been queried in the past. If I remember correctly, it's only possible to have one Dock process running at any given time, since there wouldn't be any way for the system to "Chose" a Dock to use when you launched an application, minimized a window, activated Expose, used the key command to hide te Dock, etc. Any second "hacked" Dock would simply be a group of shortcuts.
Search and I'm sure you'll find a thread that can explain it better.
