This is weird. Sometimes I wake my Mac from sleep, click on an app in the dock and it shows me it in the Finder, i.e. it is acting as though the Apple key is being held down. If I press the key once normality returns. I wonder if my keyboard is borked, but then why would it only do it on wakeup?

Perhaps I should install 10.4.8 and see what happens?

Software updates are always good ideas. How are you waking it from sleep?

I've had this happen to me a couple times too. That was with 10.4.7 though, so we'll see if the 10.4.8 update fixed it.

Actually I put it to sleep by pressing Apple-Option-Eject, I'll try sleeping from the menu and seeing if that makes a difference.

I've had this happen a lot on three different Macs -- sometimes it's the command key, sometimes it's the option key.

I haven't noticed if it's fixed with 10.4.8 or not.

I sometimes get weirdness in the finder after sleep though usually wih exposé e.g. whatever I click will show all open windows or similar. I think it may also be due to exposé not being enabled in my wife's logon and me trying to use it.

I also get menu item selection not highlighting items as you scroll down, but you can click on things for actions???

I have found that pressing the ESC key quickly a few times seems to restore normality - but YMMV and I am using panther.
