Just wanted to share something weird:
I recently visited a friend, who uses Windows as his sole operating system. He then showed me how he protects his little home network from virii, worms, etc.. He has a Win98 box connected to the Internet via ISDN-modem and this box works as a physical firewall. All data downloaded from the net is temporarily stored there and checked using an emulated WinXP system running on this Win98 box. When the downloaded things are checked and proven clean, theyre burned and then transferred on his main workhorse (A laptop running XP natively) via the CDs.
Lots of work to be done

Hard core or just plain hard?
A lot of other adjectives come to mind, one that rhymes with "stew pid win doze yoozer".
But that's his platform of coice.

I like my method better:
Use a mac, and then alienate everyone that might want to e-mail me so that they take me off of their address list.
Bam. Kick ass virus protection.

I'll stop using the term "colored" as soon as they do.
I'm somewhat of an enigma: an atheist conservative.

Naaa........., his email is being managed on the Win 98 box, he only uses this "transferring" for huge downloads as teaching plans, descriptions for experiments etc. (hes a teacher).
But still..................kinda weird
