Hello,

I've bought an all-in-one printer from HP, the PSC 1410. I wanted to use the printing function thgough Airport Express (as i did successfully with my previous HP Deskjet) but the printer won't add to the list.
When i want to add it, i have a "-9672" error code and i am stuck. I would like to use the printing function, so i there a way to "force" the printer to be recorgnized? On anoter laptop (Windows XP) i managed to connect wirelessly the printer and so i can use it with Airport Express.
I didn't think it would be possible using XP, but the problem is OS X now...

Thanks!

I installed the latest drivers yeah. But it didn't change anything. It seems that mine doesn't support Aiport Extreme, ut i suppose there is a hack or something?? I just need to print.

I already tried to add the printer with a random HP driver, it didn't work. Maybe you could help me by telling me which driver to chose?

Thanks!
I tried yesterday, i cannot choose the generic printer driver. But if i plug the printer directly in my computer, i add it in two clicks and it works perfectly.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but has anyone been able to use the 1410 with Airport Express? I don't care about all the extra functions, I'm just hoping for basic printing.

How about printing to it via a Windows PC? I set it up on the PC and shared it, Printer Setup sees the PC and the printer, but now I think it's a driver issue, I've tried several different HP drivers and nothing works. Going to see if gimp-print has anything useful.

USB printers in general, and all-in-one machines especially do not play nice with anything but the computer they're plugged into. If you try to share them on a network, they are particularly stubborn. So far as I've seen, the best option is a USB switch with enough ports for all your computers; this allows you to make the printer/all-in-one "native" to each computer you're sharing it with (that means ALL the functions the driver supports for device directly connected to a computer), and it should work great.

And since this is really about "networking" that all-in-one, and networking issues should be in the Networking forum, NOT the Peripherals forum, I'm going to move it where it belongs.
