We saw him with John Mayer and were pleasantly surprised. Ben Folds Five puts on a good show and gets the audience into it. He actually taught our entire arena three part harmony and had us sing.

Heh, did you just admit you actually made the effort and paid money to see John Mayer?!?!?

You guys should go see MUTE MATH if you want to know what a great live show is like.

Haha, everyone's getting in on the Mute Math thing lately.

Ben Folds was good. Was. 10 years ago, maybe. Maybe. The Unauthorized Biography was an especially spotty album, and his solo stuff hasn't been any better.

Good live show though, I'll give him that. He rocks out on the baby grand. I've also got Ben Folds Five's DVD show from waaay back in the day as well, which is pretty solid.

Yeah, we like John Mayer. We don't worship him or anything. The personality quirks are sort of annoying, but we try to ignore all that BS and just listen to what we like.

I checked out MUTEMATH's website, the music track playing sounded pretty good, the accompanying video was sort of juvenile, self-inflated sense of one's own uniqueness, but the alarm bells really sounded when I read that they were touring with Matchbox Twenty...

and Alanis Morissette!

To each his own I guess.

Yeah, I saw Ben Folds a couple of years ago and he put on a good show.

Stone Temple Pilots were (are? I see they have a reunion tour) another has-been band that still put on a great show when I saw them in 2003.

Plush is one of my favorite songs, especially the acoustic version.

He does that at every show.

You should see him at the Opera with a full symphony orchestra if you want to see him really rock out

I hate Ben Folds. Ugh. It's like modern, happy-clappy church music.
