hi. i have a stored network connection to a computer i no longer have and can't seem to get rid of it. i've tried all manner of ways to delete it, such as clearing stored network servers, diagnostic utilities, etc. but it persists still. any help? it actually slows the boot completion process because it always tries to connect to this damn thing. thanks.

error message reads as follows:
The server "<name>" may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check the server name or IP address, check your network connection, and then try again.

System Prefs > Accounts > Login Items

Does it show a server or a volume in that list?

Nope, there is nothing in that list other than some applications.

What if you make a new user and log in as that one? Still get the error message?
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....
