Hi,

I have a AirPort Extreme that distributes a WiFi network. On top of that, I've got 3 AirPort Express that are connected to the Extreme via WDS (actually, in "extend network mode", I think it's the same).
The issue I have is that a computer and an iPhone which are at the totally opposite way of the Extreme are still trying to connect to that one instead of the Express that is literally 1 meter away from them...
I therefore don't have any connection on this computer most of the time.

What can I do to prevent the computer to connect to the Extreme or to tell the computer to always connect to the best WiFi around (since sometimes I'm working in another room or something).
Thanks.

How can you tell which base station they are connecting to? If the network is extending properly it should all show as a single wifi network.
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....

Via Airport Utility you can see on which device a Mac address is connected. It's a single network but a device physically connects to one or another access point.
When ALT clicking the WiFi icon you can see the rate and signal strength. When near the Extreme I have 300MBPS and signal of like 30dB. When in my office, still connected to that Extreme (where there is an Express jut next to me) I get 1MBPS and 85dB (which is bad).

Alternatively, you can hold down the option key when you click on the AirPort menu. It'll tell you which WAP you're connected to.

You mean via the Mac address you can know that? If so it confirms me I'm connected the farthest one, the Extreme.
